Maximum Light. Minimal Visual Interruption.
Glass railing does something no other system can — it disappears into the space. The result is a staircase, balcony, or mezzanine that feels open, light-filled, and architecturally intentional. It's the railing choice for projects where the design of the space itself is the priority.
BAMPRO fabricates and installs custom glass railing systems for residential and commercial projects across the Triangle. Architects specify it for open-plan homes and hospitality interiors. Interior designers use it to preserve sightlines and amplify natural light. Contractors call us when the client wants something that looks like it belongs in an architectural magazine.
How It's Built
Every BAMPRO glass railing system starts with a custom steel or iron framework — posts, base plates, and top rail — fabricated in our Durham shop to your exact dimensions. Tempered safety glass panels are then set into the frame, creating the seamless, open look glass railing is known for.
Key details:
- Frameless and semi-frameless configurations available
- Post material and finish customized per project — painted, powder coated, or brushed steel
- Cap rail options in metal or wood
- Tempered safety glass panels cut to fit your opening
- Code-compliant heights for both residential and commercial applications
- Works on interior staircases, balconies, loft edges, and commercial mezzanines
Pairs Well With
Glass railing is often combined with other BAMPRO materials — wood treads, metal stringers, or mixed-material cap rails — as part of a complete staircase system. If you're designing a full staircase with glass railing, we handle everything from the stringer structure to the tread to the glass panel installation.
