The spiral staircase is one of the most architecturally distinctive structures you can specify — and one of the least forgiving to build poorly. The geometry demands precision at every stage: the center column, the rise and rotation of each tread, the connection points, the railing that follows the curve. At BAMPRO, spiral staircases are fabricated entirely in our Durham shop by metalworkers who have been doing this for over 30 years.

Each spiral is built to the specific dimensions of your space — diameter, rise height, tread count, and handedness. Tread materials can be specified in steel, wood, or a combination of both. Finish options include raw steel, powder coat, and custom patina depending on the application and design intent.
